FROM THE PASTOR
Colossians 1:23, Paul writes of “the hope held out in the gospel.” What is the hope that can be found for meaning in life and the life to come? What is the hope for being right with God so that there is meaning in life and hope for the life to come? This hope is held out in the gospel of Jesus Christ, the power of God for salvation of all who believe (Rom. 1:16).
The gospel is a message of hope and salvation that must be delivered and heard so that the Holy Spirit can use this message to bring people to salvation. Our responsibility is to deliver this message. Our joy is to proclaim the gospel.
How? By any and every means possible. This month we are going to deliver the gospel by delivering to two thousand plus homes and people “What’s Missing?” CDs, CDs with the gospel message of hope . Our hope is that God will use these to bring people to salvation and to our church. Our hope is that in viewing the contents of these CDs the Holy Spirit will reveal to them the truth of what is missing in their lives – Jesus Christ.
Two things are needed to get this message of hope out. First, we need the money to purchase the CDs. You can help by giving to buy them. They cost $1 each. Second, we need you to help deliver the CDs. March 27th will be our big home delivery push. You can also give CDs to lost friends and family members.
Our goal is to hold out the hope of the gospel. God’s purpose is the
salvation of people. This gospel of hope and salvation is what people need.
Serving together in Christ,
Pastor Gary
